At BlueJeep, we pride ourselves on being the only accessible holiday rental on Magnetic Island, designed to ensure a comfortable and stress-free stay for all guests. The house was thoughtfully created with input from one of the owners Linda, who has over 16 years of experience working in the aged care setting across Townsville and Magnetic Island. Linda's knowledge was invaluable in designing a space that supports accessibility, safety, and independence, and continues to be a helpful resource if future guests have questions about accessibility needs during their stay.

The property features step-free entry, wide doorways, and open-plan living areas to allow easy movement throughout the house. Guests with mobility aids or wheelchairs will find the layout thoughtfully planned for maximum accessibility. The accessible bedrooms include low-level switches, easy-access storage, and ample space to manoeuvre. The bathrooms are fully adapted with grab rails, a flat-floor shower, non-slip flooring, lever taps, a shower chair upon request, and a raised toilet seat.

For those arriving by vehicle, accessible parking is available with direct, level access to the entrance. Outdoor pathways and entrances are level and step-free, making it easy to get around the property. Carers or support persons are welcome, and the house can comfortably accommodate companions. While hoists are not installed for high-needs patients, we are committed to meeting other accessibility requirements and encourage guests to contact us and complete our accessibility form before arrival so we can prepare accordingly.
